What Is Flexbumin?
Flexbumin (albumin human injection, solution) is an albumin solution indicated for low blood volume (hypovolemia), hypoalbuminemia: burns, and cardiopulmonary bypass surgery.
What Are Side Effects of Flexbumin?
Side effects of Flexbumin are rare and may include:
- hypersensitivity reaction (including anaphylactic reaction) and
- fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema)
Dosage for Flexbumin
The dose of Flexbumin required depends on the patient's body weight, severity of injury/illness and on continuing fluid and protein losses.
Flexbumin In Children
The safety of albumin solutions has been demonstrated in children provided the dose is appropriate for body weight; however, the safety of Flexbumin has not been evaluated in sponsor conducted pediatric studies.

- anxiety, confusion, sweating, pale skin; or
- severe shortness of breath, wheezing, gasping for breath, cough with foamy mucus, chest pain, and fast or uneven heart rate.
Common side effects may include:
- nausea, vomiting;
- fever, chills;
- fast heart rate;
- mild rash; or
- flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling).

- Vascular Disorders: Hypotension, flushing
- Respiratory, Thoracic, and Mediastinal Disorders: Pulmonary edema, dyspnea
- Gastrointestinal Disorders: Vomiting, nausea
- Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue Disorders: Urticaria, rash, pruritus
- General Disorders and Administration Site Conditions: Pyrexia, chills
