Esophoria

Esophoria

Esophoria is a variety of heterophoria in which there is a tendency for the visual axes to deviate inward (latent convergent strabismus). Clinically this may be observed using the cover-uncover test as an out ward movement of the covered eye as it is uncovered.
Esophoria may occur in individuals with hyperopia (longsightedness).
